Thrilling Publications


Thrilling Publications was founded in the 1920s by PinesNed Ned Pines. Thrilling continued publishing pulps under various names through 1955. Among the companyís more memorable magazines were BlackBatDetective Black Bat Detective, CaptainFuture Captain Future, StartlingStories Startling Stories, and the Thrilling series, including ThrillingDetective Thrilling Detective and ThrillingMystery Thrilling Mystery.

Background

Besides the Thrilling name, Pines also published pulps under the banners of BeaconMagazines Beacon Magazines, BetterPublications Better Publications and StandardMagazines Standard Magazines.
