- Street & Smith’s second-string heroes
- Anthony Tollin, publisher at Sanctum Books, and comics veteran Tony Isabella pinched hit for Will Murray, who was unable to attend PulpFest, and discussed how The Whisperer and The Skipper took Street & Smith’s hero pulps in a new direction.
- Traveling through time with H.G. Wells
- Popular culture professor Garyn Roberts traced the influence of H.G. Wells in Amazing Stories. PulpFest 2016 was celebrating 90 years of the first science-fiction pulp.
- The artists of The Argosy: 120 years of sensational pulp artists
- Pulp art historian David Saunders, who runs Field Guide to Wild American Pulp Artists, looked at the first pulp magazine from the perspective of its artists.
- Amazing Stories: the first science-fiction pulp
- Joe Coluccio, president of Parsec, the Pittsburgh’s science-fiction and fantasy organization, provided an overview of Amazing Stories through the pulp years.
- Love Story Magazine and the romance pulp phenomenon
- Laurie Powers, who blogs at Laurie’s Wild West and is writing a biography of pulp editor Daisy Bacon, explored the romance pulps. Laurie was the winner of the 2016 Munsey Award.
- Western Story Magazine and the evolution of the pulp western
- Ed Hulse, publisher at Murania Press and editor Blood ‘n’ Thunder, and pulp collector Walker Martin talked about the long-running Street & Smith pulp and the western genre. Ed and Walker were filling in for Will Murray.
- Ten years in The Shadow’s sanctum
- Comics veteran Tony Isabella talks with Anthony Tollin, publisher of Sanctum Books, on the 10th anniversary of the pulp-reprint publisher’s debut.
- PulpFest 2016 Guest of Honor: Ted White
- Ted White, science-fiction author and editor of Amazing Stories from 1968 through 1978, discussed his career in writing and editing.
- 120 years of The Argosy
- Doug Ellis, pulp collector and co-founder of the Windy City Pulp and Paper Show, provided an overview of 120 years of the first pulp magazine.
