Michelle Nolan discusses “Love on the Racks,” a survey of romance publications from the pulp magazines to the comics. A long time journalist, Nolan is author of multiple articles and books, including, Love on the Racks: A History of American Romance Comics.

Jim Beard examines “The Shadow: Multimedia Hero.” Beard is a freelance writer, editor, and publisher, specializing in adventure fiction in the classic pulp style.
The Unfinished Tales of Edgar Rice Burroughs: Mars, Venus, Poloda, and Tarzan’s Africa
Henry G. Franke III discusses “The Unfinished Tales of Edgar Rice Burroughs: Mars, Venus, Poloda, and Tarzan’s Africa.” Franke is the editor of The Burroughs Bulletin. His presentation was part of ERBfest, held in conjunction with PulpFest.

Henry G. Franke III moderates “Beyond the Farthest Star: A Classic Science Fiction Novel Restored,” a panel featuring Christopher Paul Carey, and Cathy Wilbanks. Henry is the editor of The Burroughs Bulletin. Carey is director of publications at Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc., and Wilbanks is vice president of operations there. Selling The Shadow
Chris Kalb and William Lampkin discuss “Selling The Shadow,” a look at how The Shadow was promoted in pulp magazines, on radio, and in films, from 1930 through the mid-1950s. Chris Kalb and his brother, David, are publishers at Age of Aces Books. Lampkin is proprietor of ThePulp.Net and editor of The Pulpster.
The Weird Tales of Margaret Brundage
Doug Ellis discusses “The Weird Tales of Margaret Brundage,” a survey of covers that Brundage illustrated for Weird Tales magazine. Ellis is a pulp art collector and historian.
The Wild Adventures of Will Murray: A PulpFest Profile
Laurie Powers interviews author and pulp historian Will Murray. It’s titled “The Wild Adventures of Will Murray: A PulpFest Profile.” Powers is author of Queen of the Pulps: The Reign of Daisy Bacon and ‘Love Story Magazine’. Murray is an author and pulp historian, whose latest book is Master of Mystery: The Rise of The Shadow.
In the Shadow of Houdini
Tim King discusses “In the Shadow of Houdini,” a look at the magical secrets of fictioneer Walter B. Gibson and the stories he wrote of The Shadow. King is a career investigator for the military and intelligence services, and a member of the Society of American Magicians. He has a forthcoming book also titled In the Shadow of Houdini.
Eva Lynd: Countess, Actress, and Cover Girl
Wyatt Doyle and Bob Deis, co-editors of the Men’s Adventure Library book series, profile Eva Lynd: Countess, Actress, and Cover Girl. Lynd was an artist’s model who graced the covers of many men’s adventure magazines, which evolved from the pulp magazines. She also acted in TV shows and commercials. Deis runs the website menspulpmags.com. Doyle is the head of the New Texture publishing imprint (newtexture.com). They worked with Eva Lynd to create the book about her, Eva: Men’s Adventure Supermodel.
Walter B. Gibson and His Shadows
Ed Hulse and Will Murray discuss “Walter B. Gibson and His Shadows.” Hulse is publisher at Murania Press, and Murray is an author and pulp historian. Murray’s latest book is Master of Mystery: The Rise of The Shadow.
Freshly Squeezed Pulp: Introducing Pulp’s Legacy of Adventure to a Younger Generation
members of the podcast and comedy troupe Freshly Squeezed Pulp discuss “Introducing Pulp’s Legacy of Adventure to a Younger Generation.” Appearing on the panel are Madeleine “Mac” Gogné, Victoria Wang, and Teddi Norrell. The panel was part of ERBfest, held in conjunction with PulpFest.
