ERB-dom<\/em> was a fanzine<\/a> focused on the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs<\/a><\/strong>, mainly Tarzan<\/a><\/strong>. It started in May 1960 as a mimeographed fanzine by Al Guillory Jr.<\/strong> and Camille “Caz” Cazedessus Jr.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"ERB-dom<\/a>Sadly, Al Guillory was killed early on in a car crash, but Caz continued without him. The fanzine was successful, eventually going to color covers and reprinting, sometimes in color, the Tarzan and Korak<\/a><\/strong> newspaper strips.<\/p>\n

As noted, it started out as a mimeographed fanzine, 8.5- by 11-inches. Soon they had better paper. It wasn’t until #11 that color covers started. The first three issues were later reprinted as “new editions.” With #30, the fanzine was reduced to a 5.5- by 8.5-inches size. This continued until issue #73, and with #74 went back to 8.5- by 11-inches.<\/p>\n

Caz combined the adzine Fantasy Collector<\/a><\/em> into ERB-dom<\/em> starting with #30. It would be an insert within ERB-dom<\/em>, serving as an outlet for ads and want lists, but would continue to be numbered. Thus Fantasy Collector<\/em> #133 through 186 would be published within ERB-dom<\/em> #30-83. As a cost saving method, it would be printed on cheaper newsprint, something I’ve seen with other fanzines of the time. It could even be removed from the fanzine. After it was spun back out as a separate publication, they continued with a sales section, now called “Burroughs Bazaar.”<\/p>\n

ERB-dom<\/em> continued until #89 in November 1976, though a #90 came out in June 1978. I’m not sure what happened. Caz also shutdown Fantasy Collector<\/em> around the same time.<\/p>\n

Later Fantasy Collector<\/em> was brought back with #201 as a pulp reprint zine. It was later renamed Fantastic Collector<\/em>. And ERB-dom<\/em> was then merged into the fanzine, but now the magazine was basically double named\/numbered unlike the previous version. Thus Fantastic Collector<\/em> #248-262 were double name\/numbered with ERB-dom<\/em> #90-104. This ran from December 1993 to November 1996. This can be confusing as some dealers may list these as either Fantastic Collector<\/em> or ERB-dom<\/em>.<\/p>\n
