She had a short pulp run and has gotten many more new stories of late. Ki-Gor is one of the most popular Tarzan pastiches from the pulps, with original stories being reprinted and new ones appearing as well. Helene is his “Jane.” Ravenwood, the “Stepson of Mystery,” was a short-lived pulp hero from the back pages of Secret Agent X, with many more new stories as well. He is a detective with mystical powers, aided by The Nameless One.

Judgment is a New Pulp hero similar to The Spider, created by the late C.J. Henderson. Nelu Qui is a sort of female Chinese ninja, loosely filling the role of Rama Singh (or Kato). And Night Marcher is a female “spirit warrior” from a mysterious island near Hawaii.

The story starts in the past with a mysterious blue meteor that lands somewhere. We then move to some point in the late 1930s. Ki-Gor has gone missing, and Helene is heading to New York to find him, as clues point that way. When she arrives, she meets Ravenwood, who offers his assistance. They head to the Natural History Museum.

Meanwhile, we see Ki-Gor awakening on a ship. There, he is interrogated by a strange blue man, who is clearly our antagonist. He is asked about blue stones or statues, which Ki-Gor knows nothing about. But he is then able to escape by jumping overboard. He somehow finds himself on a strange island that he saw. The man and the ship seem to be heading to New York, as he appears to know that what he seeks may be there.

We then learn that the Domino Lady is in New York, hunting after a Nazi spy who infiltrated Hollywood. She is joined by Nelu Qui, and they track him down to a ship and discover his room filled with strange artifacts the Nazis may have stolen, along with some strange blue stones that glow. The Domino Lady takes them. They then head to the Natural History Museum, where they meet up with Helene and Ravenwood. Around the same time, we learn that Ki-Gor awoke on that strange island and, after some recovery, decides to head to New York to try to meet up with Helene. The Night Marcher accompanies him, and they head to Hawaii and from there take a military flight to New York.

Soon everyone finally meets up, and they can confront our main villain, who calls himself The Blue Death, and learn there is some connection between him and the strange blue stones and why he wants them. And they can work to finally defeat him and his men.

As this group of heroes came together only for this foe, they will go their own ways, though it appears that two of them do hit it off and will at least train together. But that’s for a future story.

Overall, this was a fun story. I’m not sure when we might see more with Night Marcher, or if these heroes will meet up again. Time will tell. I’ve read other works by Bobby Nash, including his Abraham Snow series.
