\"'Pulp<\/a>I had previously posted on a very nice pulp fanzine from Jim Main<\/strong>‘s Main Enterprises, The Zine of Bronze<\/em>. It ended after eight issues, and I really missed it and some of the great columns in it. Well, Jim is back with a new fanzine: Pulp Fan<\/em>. The first issue came out in December 2017.<\/p>\n

Printed on slick paper with color covers (inside and out), the rest black and white, but with more artwork, it’s a very nice package. There is a mix of fiction and non-fiction from several people. Sadly, none of the old columns from the previous zine.<\/p>\n

From Link Hullar<\/strong>, we get a couple of works. One is a fantasy adventure story. The other is a reminiscence of pulp fandom. Several pulp fanzines are mentioned, several I’ve posted on, others I hope to get to. He mentions a book I’d love to get, Amazing Pulp Heroes<\/em>, which I wish would be reprinted.<\/p>\n

Another fiction piece is a science fiction tale.<\/p>\n

Other non-fiction works is an article on pulp editor and publisher Harold B. Hersey<\/strong>, based on his work, Pulpwood Editor<\/em>. (Adventure House<\/a> has an expanded reprint of it that I hope to get).<\/p>\n

Another looks at Weird Tales<\/em> artist Fred Humiston<\/strong>. I wonder if this is a new column called “The Shadow Remembers…”<\/p>\n

There is a lot of new artwork, and reprints of old artwork. Overall it’s a very nice package. My only complaint is I’d like to see a short write-up of all the contributors.<\/p>\n
