The second book, “Horror In Gold,” will be out later in the summer.
Here’s a bit of the Altus Press news release:
Altus Press is excited to announce the launch of The Wild Adventures of Doc Savage, the first in a new series of blockbuster novels starring the legendary pulp superhero. … Written by prolific pulp writer Will Murray, who has won acclaim for his unequalled ten-year tenure ghostwriting Warren Murphy and Richard Sapir’s Destroyer action-adventure series, The Wild Adventures of Doc Savage is a continuation of the well-received Doc novels Murray wrote for Bantam Books back in the 1990s, along with the late Lester Dent. The posthumous collaborations will be published under time-honored byline, Kenneth Robeson.
Follow developments at the book series’ website, Adventures in Bronze.
It’s a long time coming for those of us who began reading Doc Savage during the Bantam ppback days in the mid-60’s. Will Murray wrote 7 new stories from ’91-’93 and since then I’ve purchased several more Doc stories that were not authorized by Conde Nast but Will’s new adventures using Dent’s outlines and ideas is an exciting addtion for all Doc’s fans. Long live Doc Savage and his band of adventurers.
