PulpFest 2013 is officially under way in Columbus, Ohio.
I wish I were there.
Early registration opened at 6 p.m., while the actual programming began a bit earlier with a lecture, “The Ancestors of Batman,” by Blood ‘n’ Thunder editor Ed Hulse at Ohio State’s Thompson Library. The regular PulpFest programming started at 8 p.m.
Instead of that, I have other, family plans that conflicted with the annual summer pulp gathering.
In addition to the ever-popular dealers’ room, planned activities run Friday and Saturday from 1 p.m. until around midnight (or later). You can find a complete schedule at the PulpFest website (or, if you are at the con, on page 25 of The Pulpster).
Best wishes to everyone who is able to attend. Please follow up with plenty of reports.
I’m already setting my sights on attending next year.
