Tune into the latest episodes

PulpFest 2023 was taking place one month ago in Mars, Pa., just outside of Pittsburgh. Several hundred of you were there, exploring the dealers’ room for wanted pulp magazines, books, and other items, enjoying the camaraderie of old friends, or sitting in the audience for one of the presentations.

The Pulp Event PodcastI’m sorry if you weren’t among the many who were in attendance. It was a particularly enjoyable PulpFest this year. Hopefully, you will be able to attend it (or Windy City, Pulp AdventureCon, or one of the other pulp get-togethers) next year.

Whether you attended or not, please head over to the Pulp Event Podcast on the main site of ThePulp.Net to listen to over 11.5 hours of audio recordings from this year‘s summer pulp con.

If your interest is the pulp heroes, then check out panels on Doc Savage and The Spider, which were part of the celebration of the 90th anniversary of 1933’s onslaught of heroes.

Or you may enjoy the fantasies of Edgar Rice Burroughs. There were a number of panels marking the 100th anniversary of the founding of ERB Inc., or connected to ERBFest and FarmerCon.

Weird Tales turned 100 years old, too. You can hear about Weird Tales on the radio, sword and sorcery from “The Unique Magazine,” and more.

Also celebrating 100 years was Sport Story Magazine, which scored with a couple of discussions.

With this year’s 15 new episodes, the Pulp Event Podcast now has recordings of over 100 panels, presentations, and discussions. If this year’s topics aren’t of interest, check out the other 90-something episodes.

As always, you can listen to them directly in your browser at ThePulp.Net, or through your favorite podcast app: Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, or Castbox.fm.

Please subscribe to the podcast. And we hope you’ll leave us a great review. But above all else, enjoy!
