The idea got put on my to-do list, but unfortunately never seemed make it to the top of the list.<\/p>\n

Well, that has changed.<\/p>\n

I’d like to welcome Michael R. Brown<\/strong> as ThePulp.Net<\/a>‘s newest blogger.<\/p>\n

Michael has been described by All Pulp<\/a> and the Pulped podcast<\/a> as a “pulp super-fan.”<\/p>\n

His introduction to the pulps, like many of us, came from the myriad paperback reprints of the ’70s \u2014 first, with Doc Savage<\/a><\/strong>, then other pulp heroes, including The Avenger<\/a><\/strong>, The Shadow<\/a><\/strong>, The Spider<\/a><\/strong>, G-8<\/a><\/strong> and others. Those early discoveries led him to classic pulp horror fictioneers H.P. Lovecraft<\/a><\/strong> and Manly Wade Wellman<\/a><\/strong>, as well as British authors as Arthur Conan Doyle<\/strong>, Algernon Blackwood<\/strong> and William Hope Hodgson<\/strong>, and the German SF series Perry Rhodan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Michael put together the FAQ for the alt.pulp<\/a> newsgroup back in the 1990s.<\/p>\n

He currently reads a wide-ranging list of books and writes reviews on many pulp reprints on Amazon.com<\/a>. And he remains an avid pulp fan \u2014 or, should I say, pulp super-fan.<\/p>\n
