\"TheAs you have probably noticed, there haven’t been very many posts here at Yellowed Perils<\/strong> in the past couple of weeks.<\/p>\n

It’s less than a month away from PulpFest<\/a>. That means that we are currently hustling to put together this year’s issue of The Pulpster<\/a><\/em>. (As a result, I have less time for other pulp-related activities such as Yellowed Perils<\/strong>. Sigh.)<\/p>\n

Tony Davis<\/strong>, who founded The Pulpster<\/a><\/em> back in 1991 for Pulpcon (PulpFest’s predecessor), edited the zine through issue number 21 in 2012. After 20 years, he thought it was time to take a break. He did a wonderful job creating the convention zine and growing it year after year.<\/p>\n

I was fortunate enough to have worked with him designing the zine since issue 17 in 2008. The good folks at PulpFest asked me to assume the editorship last fall. With a lot of assistance from Mike Chomko<\/a><\/strong> and his son, Peter Chomko<\/strong>, I’m striving to continue the high-quality pulp zine you’d come to expect from Tony.<\/p>\n

I’m excited for this year’s issue. It’s the biggest yet, with 52 pages. Even still, we’ve got more great pulp articles than we have room for, thanks to our many contributors. Even though Tony Davis has retired as its editor, I’m happy that he will continue contributing to The Pulpster<\/em>.<\/p>\n

If you attend PulpFest, you’ll receive a copy of The Pulpster<\/em> with your registration<\/a>. If you won’t be able to attend, you can become a supporting member<\/a> of PulpFest and receive a copy of the zine via mail. Or, you may be able to order copies after PulpFest (assuming they don’t sell out) from dealers such as Mike<\/a>.<\/p>\n
