It&#8217;s taking longer than anticipated, but I hope to have them posted in September.<\/p>\n<p>So, on with the reports:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Let&#8217;s start things off with a con preview, rather than a con report. Pittsburgh&#8217;s NPR news station, 90.5 WESA, published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wesa.fm\/arts-sports-culture\/2022-08-03\/pittsburgh-convention-celebrates-50-years-of-pulp-magazine-fandom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this article on PulpFest 50<\/a> and the pulps the day before the convention began.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thepulp.net\/pulpsuperfan\/2022\/08\/19\/con-report-pulpfest-50\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michael Brown<\/a><\/strong> offers up his thoughts on his first trip to PulpFest next door at <em><a href=\"https:\/\/thepulp.net\/pulpsuperfan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Pulp Super-Fan<\/a><\/em> blog.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/boards.cgccomics.com\/topic\/511121-pulpfest-reports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CGC Forums<\/a> has a PulpFest 50 report thread in the <a href=\"https:\/\/boards.cgccomics.com\/forum\/98-pulp-magazines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pulp Magazines area<\/a> where several members have uploaded photos from and posted comments about convention.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/ditkofan.com\/Facebook\/PulpFest22\/pulp.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lewis Forro<\/a><\/strong>, posting as \u201cThe Leader,\u201d has some fun with his photographic review from\u00a0PulpFest 50\u00a0on his blog,\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/ditkofan.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Leader\u2019s Chronicles<\/a><\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.airship27.com\/surviving-travel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ron Fortier<\/a><\/strong> at his <em>Airship 27<\/em> blog provides a look at his PulpFest 50 adventures, along with photos. Unfortunately, his travels to and from the convention weren&#8217;t as enjoyable as the con was.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/file770.com\/2022-munsey-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mike Glyer<\/a><\/strong> has posted about this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pulpfest.com\/award-winners\/#munsey-award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Munsey Award<\/a> winner, <strong>Rick Lai<\/strong>, at his award-winning <em><a href=\"https:\/\/file770.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">File 770<\/a><\/em> blog.<\/li>\n<li>You can find my <a href=\"https:\/\/thepulp.net\/yellowedperils\/category\/news\/events\/pulpfest\/\">photo coverage of PulpFest 50<\/a>\u00a0here on my blog. My photos \u2014 and those of others \u2014 were posted to Instagram using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/explore\/search\/keyword\/?q=%23pulpfest50\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#pulpfest50<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mysteryfile.com\/blog\/?p=80646\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Walker Martin<\/a><\/strong>, one of the few who attended the first Pulpcon 50 years ago and continues to regularly attend PulpFest, provides his\u00a0annual con report on\u00a0<strong>Steve Lewis<\/strong>\u2019\u00a0<em>Mystery*File<\/em> blog.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/AB4kQSOK710?t=424\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Charlton 66<\/a><\/strong> recorded a video report of PulpFest 50. Though he mostly discusses comics in his other videos, he devotes about 20 minutes of this video to PulpFest and the pulps. The link starts the video at his discussion of PulpFest.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/meteorhousepress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Meteor House<\/a> has posted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCyOD0jnRWmuG6rjmNYGpRCg\/videos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">videos of Farmercon XVII panels<\/a> at PulpFest 50 on its YouTube channel.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/pulpfest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PulpFest <\/a>has started <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCn5uz-f9enbHgnapejVBdXQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">its own YouTube channel<\/a>. The first video posted is the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/g1XJRI_zL_A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Hemingway &amp; Hammett: A Life In Parallel&#8221; panel<\/a> from PulpFest 50. It features novelists <strong>Craig McDonald<\/strong> and <strong>William Patrick Maynard<\/strong> exploring the striking parallels in the lives and stripped-down writing styles of authors <strong>Ernest Hemingway<\/strong> and <strong>Dashiell Hammett<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <em><a href=\"https:\/\/thepulp.net\/podcast\/pulp-event-podcast\/\">Pulp Event Podcast<\/a><\/em>\u00a0has over 11 hours of audio recordings from\u00a0PulpFest 50.
