After a much-too-long delay, I’ve finally edited and posted audio recordings from PulpFest<\/a> 50.<\/p>\n

Besides the pulp-packed dealers’ room, pulp-related programming is one of PulpFest<\/a>‘s main attractions. That’s thanks to the con’s programming director Mike Chomko<\/strong>, who always lines up a variety of knowledgeable experts to talk about interesting topics.<\/p>\n

PulpFest 50 was no exception. Last year’s presentations ranged from 50 years of pulp conventions to profiles of pulp artists Nick Eggenhoffer<\/strong> and George Gross<\/strong> to a look at Robert E. Howard<\/strong>‘s connections to Fiction House to hard-boiled fiction in the western pulps. There were also updates regarding new projects from publishers Meteor House<\/a> and Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc.<\/a>, and much more.<\/p>\n

PulpFest 2023 is seven months away, but you can keep yourself entertained with pulp-related listening until then. With the addition of PulpFest 50, the Pulp Event Podcast<\/em> now has 90 episodes available. That’s almost 64 hours of listening, including seven PulpFests and two Pulpcons<\/a>.<\/p>\n
