movie sites<\/a>) reported Monday that a director has been linked to a potential <em>Doc Savage<\/em> movie:<!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Shane Black<\/strong> is attached to direct the film from a screenplay he is penning with <strong>Anthony Bagarozzi<\/strong> and <strong>Chuck Mondry<\/strong>. <strong>Neal Moritz<\/strong> (<em>Fast and Furious<\/em>) will produce through his Sony-based Original Film banner.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"attachment_636\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-636\" style=\"width: 75px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-636\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/thepulp.net\/yellowedperils\/files\/2010\/08\/sblack.jpg?resize=75%2C126&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Screenwriter and director Shane Black\" width=\"75\" height=\"126\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-636\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Screenwriter and director Shane Black<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Black also wrote <em>Lethal Weapon 1 and 2<\/em>, <em>The Monster Squad<\/em>, <em>The Last Boy Scout<\/em>, <em>Last Action Hero<\/em> (which, coincidentally, starred <strong>Arnold Schwarzenegger<\/strong> who was also once linked to a Doc Savage movie), <em>The Long Kiss Goodnight<\/em> and <em>Kiss Kiss Bang Bang<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s had some hits in there, but I don\u2019t think any of his movies would be considered great. <em>Variety<\/em> says that he\u2019s also known for his \u201cvast collection\u201d of pulp fiction.<\/p>\n<p>But <em>Variety<\/em> also reports:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>One of the most popular characters in the pulps of the 1930s and &#8217;40s, Doc Savage was also popularized on radio, film and TV.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Guess I missed that TV series.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013
