PulpFest 2010<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/a>It used to be a big deal when the Pulpcon<\/a> flier arrived in the mail. There would be numerous posts on the Yahoo pulp groups and the pulp news groups about what was in it.<\/p>\n

The PulpFest<\/a> flier arrived in the mail recently, but there was hardly a peep online about its arrival.<\/p>\n

It wasn’t because no one is interested in what is in it. No, it’s because the PulpFest folks \u2014 Jack Cullers<\/strong>, Barry Traylor<\/strong>, Mike Chomko<\/strong>, Ed Hulse<\/strong> and Chris Kalb<\/strong> \u2014 do a wonderful job keeping us up-to-date with the second annual PulpFest developments through the convention’s Web site<\/a> and with their posts to the various pulp groups.<\/p>\n

(Check out its Web site<\/a> for complete details on the July 30-Aug. 1 convention in Columbus, Ohio.)<\/p>\n

No more waiting with baited breath for the postman to bring pulp convention news.<\/p>\n

Windy City 2010<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/a>Speaking of pulp conventions… It’s less than a month away from the Windy City Pulp & Paperback Convention<\/a>, near Chicago.<\/p>\n

You can find all the pertinent information regarding the April 23-25 convention on its Web site<\/a>, too.<\/p>\n

Following quickly on Windy City’s heels, the 14th annual Fantastic Pulps Show & Sale<\/a> will be Saturday, May 8, in Toronto, Ont. See the Girasol Collectable’s Web site<\/a> for details on this show.<\/p>\n
