A scheduling change

Those who have followed my blog for awhile may be aware I set down a logic to when posts went live back in 2016. But recent things means I need to make some adjustments.

So now the general guideline for myself as to when certain posts are scheduled to appear will be:

  • Monday is for posts focused on original pulps, along with their predecessors, such as dime novels and the like. Originals from overseas will also be included.
  • Tuesday is for posts on pulp art and artists. We’ll see how long this goes.
  • Wednesday is for posts focused on post-pulp and New Pulp, including most fanzines.
  • Thursday is for H. Bedford-Jones. He has put out so many works and I have a backlog of his stuff to work through that doing them on Monday would overwhelm the rest.
  • Friday is for, well, everything else. Posts on comics, movies & serials, TV shows, and radio will appear here, along with other oddballs like games, juvenile series, and the like.

Frequency of posts will vary. It depends on how many articles I have lined up. I try to write up enough articles so I have a couple of weeks to a month lead time before I have to worry about more. At a minimum I try to have at least two to three posting per week. Three will be the max. I also try to vary things from week to week if at all possible so I don’t have similar topics appear one after the other (works from the same author or the same character, etc.). I’ll also avoid posting on holidays, mainly as readership of the post may be affected.

I encourage people to post their responses here. Too often I get comments when I share them to Facebook, but the comments are on Facebook and not here.
