We need your brain

Let me take a moment to turn the focus on ThePulp.Net.

Earlier this spring, we started the PulpWiki, an online encyclopedia of pulp magazines. We’ve been adding entries periodically since PulpWiki began. We’re up to 78 pages as of today. You’ll find entries on subjects as diverse as artist Hannes Bok and author Frederick Faust to magazines The Phantom Detective and Unknown, and basic information entries such as pulp magazines and house names.

Many thanks to those of you who have contributed information and entries to the PulpWiki!

But – there’s always a “but,” huh? – there are more than 200 “wanted pages,” as well as innumerable other topics, that need your help.

You are a pulp fan. You’ve read various pulps and pulp stories, and probably books about the pulps. So you know something about a pulp character, a pulp author or a pulp magazine. Check out the entry pertaining to your pulp interest. You know a fact or two that you can add to that entry. (If there’s no entry, check the “wanted pages” or create one.)

This also applies to errors that you might find. Please correct them; you’ll help everyone out.

The whole goal behind PulpWiki is to create an online resource where pulp fans – old and, hopefully, new – can share information and learn more about the pulps.

So, join in and share your pulp knowledge!

– William

P.S. New pulp stuff

It’s September and that means a new design in our year-long celebration of TPN’s 10th anniversary.

If you’ve been downloading the pulp wallpaper that we’ve been posting this year, you’ll be happy to know we’ve uploaded four new ones. Check ’em out over on our Pulp stuff page.

We’ve had a small collection of pulp icons available, too. We’re thinking of updating them, but wanted your suggestions before we do. Is there anything you’d like to see made into an icon?
