R.I.P.: Peter Haining

Mike Ashley, on the FictionMags group at Yahoo, reports that pulp historian Peter Haining died suddenly of a heart attack Monday night. He was 67.

The British author wrote about numerous topics, but pulp fans may recognize him from some of his pulp reference works: The Classic Era of American Pulp Magazines, Terror! A History of Horror Illustrations from the Pulp Magazines and The Fantastic Pulps.
