Remembering Lovecraft

Astounding (June 1936)Since today is the 76th anniversary of H.P. Lovecraft‘s death, it seems like an appropriate time to take a look at a video adaptation of his story “The Shadow Out of Time.”

“The Shadow Out of Time” ran in the June 1936 number of Astounding, Lovecraft‘s fourth and final appearance in that magazine. Previously “At the Mountains of Madness” had been serialized in the February, March and April 1936 numbers.

The story was featured on the cover, one of many Astounding covers by artist Howard V. Brown.

This 15-minute version was produced in Sweden in 2011-12 by Richard Svensson, Daniel Lenneér and Christopher Johansson.

Sit back and enjoy the strange tale of Nathaniel Wingate Peaslee

A hat tip to Walter Bosley over at the Lost Continent Library for originally posting a link to this video.
